My favorite finds
Things I actually love
Every product here has earned a place in my life. I only share what I genuinely use and believe in — because you deserve recommendations from someone who gets it.
A note on honesty
I believe you deserve to know exactly where my recommendations come from. On this page you'll find two kinds of picks — products I personally use and love every day, marked with a "Personally used" label, and products I've carefully curated for this community based on research, reputation, and alignment with our values, marked as "Community pick." I may not have tried every curated pick myself, but I wouldn't share anything I wouldn't feel good about recommending to a close friend. Some links are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you purchase — at no extra cost to you. My honest opinion is never for sale.

DIY Projects I love
Sometimes healing looks like making something with your hands. These are projects I find joy in — simple, budget-friendly, and deeply satisfying. No experience needed, just a little time and a willing heart.
Dried Flower Wall Arrangement
Gather dried pampas grass, eucalyptus, and wildflowers from a craft store or your yard. Bundle them together with twine and hang on a wooden dowel for a soft, organic wall piece that brings warmth to any room. This one costs almost nothing and looks like something from a boutique.
Tip: Trader Joe's and Whole Foods often carry affordable dried stems near the checkout.
Lavender & Oat Bath Soak
Mix 1 cup of colloidal oatmeal, ½ cup of Epsom salt, 2 tablespoons of dried lavender buds, and 10 drops of lavender essential oil. Store in a glass jar and add a few scoops to a warm bath whenever you need to decompress. It soothes skin and quiets the mind — a little ritual that costs under $10 to make.
Tip: Pour into a small muslin bag before adding to the bath to keep the tub clean.
Thrifted Frame Gallery Wall
Head to your local thrift store and pick up mismatched frames in various sizes. Spray paint them all the same color — soft white, matte black, or warm gold — for a cohesive look. Fill with printed quotes, pressed flowers, or photos that bring you joy. A gallery wall is one of the most personal and affordable ways to make a space feel like yours again.
Tip: Dollar Tree and Goodwill are goldmines for frames. A single can of spray paint transforms everything.
Whipped Body Butter
Melt ½ cup of shea butter and ¼ cup of coconut oil together, then let cool until slightly solid. Whip with a hand mixer until fluffy, adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil — rose, vanilla, or sweet orange all work beautifully. Spoon into a glass jar and use after every shower. Your skin will thank you, and it makes a wonderful gift too.
Tip: Chill the mixture in the fridge for 15 minutes before whipping for a fluffier texture.
Upcycled Candle Holders
Save glass jars from pasta sauce, jam, or candles. Clean them well, then wrap with twine, lace ribbon, or dried herbs secured with a rubber band. Place a tea light inside for an instant cozy glow. Line a windowsill or mantle with a few in different heights for a beautiful, zero-waste display that costs almost nothing.
Tip: A little Mod Podge and tissue paper can turn a plain jar into something that looks like sea glass.
Pressed Flower Bookmarks & Cards
Pick small flowers or leaves from your yard or a bouquet — pansies, daisies, and ferns work wonderfully. Press them between the pages of a heavy book for 5–7 days. Once dry, arrange on cardstock and seal with clear contact paper or laminate. Use as bookmarks, gift tags, or frame them as art. A meditative, beautiful project that connects you to nature.
Tip: Silica gel packets speed up the drying process if you want results faster.

Products marked "Community pick" have been carefully researched and curated but may not be something I've personally tried.
